As of March 14, 2022, here are the category colors, and what they mean.

ORANGE: (ORANGE) meetings relevant to public transit that open to the public. Such meetings are hosted either by a private group, town hall, city hall, a city’s transportation department, or other government agency that is not affiliated with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA).
BLUE: (BLUE) a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Board Meeting, Committee Meeting, or other meeting run by VTA that is open to the public.
BLACK: (BLACK) indicates where and when our group meetings will be held, that are open to the public. Also used for when and where members of our group will be speaking, or hosting a public information table for new member recruiting and other information.
GREEN: (GREEN) indicates when and where other public transit advocacy groups meet, and what that meeting is about.
YELLOW: (YELLOW) major public activities (shows, festivals, etc.) you can reach by VTA bus, light rail, commuter rail, on bike, or on foot. May also describe events where alternatives to driving are celebrated (example: Viva Calle San Jose).
How YOU Can Help Update The Calendar
Know about a public transit, bicycle/pedestrian, or paratransit meeting or event in Santa Clara County? Please let us know at least 7 days in advance so that it can be added to the event calendar.
When contacting us about adding an event on the calendar, indicate
- what the meeting or event is about
- where and when the meeting or event is located
- who to contact for more information about the meeting event
The more information you provide and the sooner we know about it, the faster it gets added to the calendar. Events or meetings not fitting any of the criteria above will be ignored.
