Last night’s VTA Board Of Directors’ meeting featured the following:
- More information on Phase II of the BART extension from Berryessa to downtown San Jose and Santa Clara.
- The VTA Board approved a staff proposal on having the temporary 500 bus line use San Fernando St. instead of Santa Clara Street, and improving the 45 bus line, which was originally proposed to be eliminated.
Also, Roland LeBrun of San Jose noted some conflicts of interest as the VTA Board approved members of the 2016 Measure B Citizens Advisory Committee.

Thank you for the great work you do Eugene! I was excited to see the summary of the meeting, but do agree with JEAN and would like to see a few more details and insight to what happened. Take care!
This would be more interesting if you provided more info. What were the arguments about the use of Santa Clara vs San Fernando? Was there anyone opposing the change? Why was the temp 500 extended? What changes were made in the 45? Which members of the Advisory Committee did Mr. Lebron highlight and what were the conflicts? It takes too long to watch the whole video–especially if one does not have high quality and fast Internet. A summary needs more content.
Jean:
Thank you for your comment. I wanted to experiment with a “quick and dirty” summary of what went on at last night’s VTA Board meeting. Based on your comment,I will have to do a better job of this, the next time such a summary is posted.
